Aisling Bea
Aisling B a was born on 16 March 1984 in Kildare Ireland. The comedian appeared alongside Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea, is an Irish actor, writer and comedian. Bea's professional career started in the year 2011 when she began her career as a comic after she appeared in small roles on Irish and British TV series starting in the year 2009. In 2012 Bea began appearing in sitcoms and sketch comedy. After she won an award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) and began to be featured frequently in panel shows. She was a captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016-2017 and is a regular contestant in its spinoff show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the child of Brian O'Sullivan as well as Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is her younger sister. She was the only female to be a winner of the show So You Think You're Funny in the year 2012. Bea's surname is in honour of her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan, born Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. Bea's father Brian is an equine doctor who committed suicide when she was only three years old. Bea didn't learn how the death of her father occurred until she reached the age of thirteen. Her stage name Bea was in tribute to her father. She wrote an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017, about her experience dealing with suicide. Bea and her younger sister Sinead, were raised with Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) who was a jockey as well as a teacher at a secondary school. Her family were passionate about horses and races. Bea started out as an official guide for tourists for the Irish National Stud. But she realized her love was performing and not racing.
